Safe Drinking Water Advisories
Clinton County: Village of Champlain issued a BWA Wednesday for customers on Moore Street, all of Canal Street, 20 to 33 Willow St., and 11222 to 11238 on County Route 9. From the Village of Champlain announcement for public notice, "Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth and preparing food until further notice." Champlain Village operates under SDWA permit NY0900211, serving potable water to a population of 2947 residents from a groundwater source in the lower Lake Champlain Watershed. The facility has a clean record with EPA, no violations or non-compliance issues in the last 12 quarters.

A BAND OF HEAVY SNOW WILL AFFECT PARTS OF CORTLAND, TIOGA, BROOME AND TOMPKINS COUNTIES...
A band of heavy snow accompanied by winds of 20 MPH which can rapidly reduce visibility to less than one mile.
At 744 AM EST, a band of heavy snow along a line from Tompkins County through Broome County was moving southeast
at 25 MPH.
LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...Binghamton, Johnson City, Kirkwood, Conklin, Maine, Lansing,
Caroline, Dryden, Nanticoke, and Port Dickinson, including the following highway exits:
- New York Interstate 81 between 1 and 7.
- Interstate 86/Route 17 between 70 North and 79.
- Interstate 88 between 1 and 4.
SAFETY INFO...Use extra caution if you must travel into or through this band of
heavy snow. Rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads may lead to accidents.
